PURE is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization of international emergency medicine physicians and others dedicated to enhancing ultrasound education and use in Rwanda. We have worked in concert with the Rwandan Ministry of Health and leaders in education to develop a plan to train Rwandan physicians to use ultrasound at the bedside in caring for their patients, as well as help them develop the tools to sustainably spread ultrasound to other healthcare practitioners around the country.
